Paul places an emphasis here on being sensible (old men v2, young women v5 young men v6). He sees this as a qualification for elders (Titus 1:8) and the result of the grace of God in a believer's life (v12).
The motivation for good behavior is so that God will be honored. This is stated in v5, v8 and v10. and implied in v14.
I assume here that the manner in which the pure doctrine in v7b is to be taught is given in v7c and v8a.
The way Titus is to urge young men to be sensible is through a) being an example of good deeds and b) teaching sound doctrine.
