Paul, [called as] a bond- servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ,
Paulus, Knecht Gottes, aber auch Apostel Jesu Christi,
for [the purpose of strengthening] the faith of those chosen of God
nach dem Glauben der Auserwählten Gottes
and [teaching them] the knowledge of the truth
und der Erkenntnis der Wahrheit,
which [leads to and] is according to godliness,
