But immediately after the tribulation of those days,
the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall [M/P] from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear [M/P] in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn [M/P], and they will see [M/P] the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he will send out his angels with a great trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

But learn the parable from the fig tree:
when its branch has already become tender and put out the leaf,
you know that summer is near.
So you too, when you see all these things,
know that it is near, right at the doors.

Truly, I say to you, that this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.
