Now on the first [day] of Unleavened Bread,
οἱ μαθηταὶ τῷ Ἰησοῦ λέγοντες• ποῦ θέλεις ἑτοιμάσωμέν σοι φαγεῖν τὸ πάσχα;
the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Where do you wish that we should prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
And he said, “Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is near. I [will] keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.”’”

And the disciples did as Jesus directed them, and they prepared the Passover.
Now when evening came, he was reclining with the twelve.
And as they were eating, he said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”
καὶ λυπούμενοι σφόδρα ἤρξαντο λέγειν αὐτῷ εἷς ἕκαστος• μήτι ἐγώ εἰμι, κύριε;
And greatly distressed, they began, one after another, to say to him, “Surely not I, Lord?”
But answering, he said, “The one who dipped his hand with me into the bowl, this one will betray me.
While the Son of Man goes as it is written of him,
woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed.
It would have been good for him if that man had not been born.”

Now, while they were eating,
Jesus, taking bread and blessing [it], broke [it], and giving [it] to the disciples, he said, “Take; eat. This is my body.”
And taking a cup and giving thanks, he gave [it] to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you,
for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.
