Jesus said to him,
ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ὁδὸς καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια καὶ ἡ ζωή•

οὐδεὶς ἔρχεται πρὸς τὸν πατέρα εἰ μὴ διʼ ἐμοῦ.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
εἰ ἐγνώκατέ με,
o If you had known me,
καὶ τὸν πατέρα μου γνώσεσθε.

καὶ ἀπʼ ἄρτι γινώσκετε αὐτὸν
From now on you do know him
καὶ ἑωράκατε αὐτόν.

Λέγει αὐτῷ Φίλιππος• κύριε, δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα, καὶ ἀρκεῖ ἡμῖν.
r Philip said to him, “Lord, s show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”
λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς•
Jesus said to him,
τοσούτῳ χρόνῳ μεθʼ ὑμῶν εἰμι
“Have I been with you so long,
καὶ οὐκ ἔγνωκάς με, Φίλιππε;
and you still do not know me, Philip?
ὁ ἑωρακὼς ἐμὲ ἑώρακεν τὸν πατέρα•
t Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.
πῶς σὺ λέγεις• δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα;
How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
οὐ πιστεύεις ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοί ἐστιν;
Do you not believe that u I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
τὰ ῥήματα ἃ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἀπʼ ἐμαυτοῦ οὐ λαλῶ,
The words that I say to you v I do not speak on my own authority,
ὁ δὲ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοὶ μένων ποιεῖ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ.
but the Father who dwells in me does his works.
πιστεύετέ μοι ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοί•
Believe me that u I am in the Father and the Father is in me,
εἰ δὲ μή, διὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτὰ πιστεύετε.
or else w believe on account of the works themselves.
