Therefore remember
that formerly you,
the Gentiles in the flesh- the ones being called 'uncircumcision' by the ones being called 'circumcision,' which is performed in the flesh by hands-
ideaexplanation
that (although) you were at that time without Christ,
(with the result being that you were) alienated from the citizenship of Israel
and strangers to the covenants of promise,
series
(and therefore) having no hope, and atheists in the world.
inference
actionresult
But now, (nevertheless) you who were once far off, have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
concessive
For he himself is our peace,
(because he is) the one having made the both one,
and (he did this by having) destroyed the middle wall of division (namely) hostility,
(by having), in his flesh, rendered inoperative the law of commandments in decrees,
actionmanner
in order to create in himself the two into one new person,
(thus) making peace,
and (in order) that he might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, killing the hostility in it.
actionpurpose
ground
(therefore, because he is our peace, he also) and coming he preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those near
so that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
Therefore, you are no longer strangers and aliens
but are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
(because you have) been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
in whom the whole buiding...grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
(by) being fitted together,
(and) in whom you are are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
