1 Simon Peter, a a bond-servant and b apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have received c a faith of the same 2 kind as ours,
Paul, a servant and slave of Jesus the long prophesied Messiah, to those who have been GIVEN the same faith as ours,
3 by d the righteousness of e our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:
BY Jesus' righteousness granted to us/imputed to us by that faith.

Grace and peace be abundantly multiplied to you
in b the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;
BY KNOWING GOD AND JESUS,
seeing that His a divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness,

THEREFOR, with all diligence [work out your salvation with FEAR AND TREMBLING],

in your morality, obey in the TRUTH of the word and the wisdom of the fear of God.
and in your knowledge, a self-control,
in that wisdom and knowledge, have self control.
and in your self-control, b perseverance,
persevere in self control
and in your perseverance, c godliness,
persevere in godliness
and in your godliness, a brotherly kindness,
be kind and loving in your morality and godliness [not arrogant and proud]
and in your brotherly kindness, love.

For if these qualities are yours
IF you see these thing in some measure at all
and are increasing,
and you see them increasing over time as the Spirit puts to death the deeds of the body,
they render you neither useless nor a unfruitful in the true b knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Then your obedient life will prove that your faith in Jesus is real and is bearing fruit [you will know them by their fruits].

For he who lacks these qualities is a blind or short-sighted,
BUT if you don't see these qualities, you are BLIND [Aren't saved at all] or are short-sighted [spiritually dull and immature].

Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His a calling and b choosing you;
Therefor, people who I'm calling brethren and assume are believers, BE DILIGENT/URGENT to prove to yourself that you have been called and are elect,
for as long as you practice these things,
Because if you practice these things,
you will never c stumble;
you can be assured that you will never fall away from God.
for in this way the entrance into a the eternal kingdom of our b Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be c abundantly d supplied to you.
Because by your diligence in obeying Jesus and trusting Him that He as supplied you with all you need to DO these things, you will enter the Kingdom of GOD!!!

Grace and peace be multiplied to you by your knowledge and faith that GOD has granted you all you need for life and obedience to him by your true knowledge of Him who called US!
The result of your calling and faith and trust in Him that He has GRANTED to you, you partake of His divine nature [by His Holy Spirit that transforms you and lives inside you].
Because He has called you and you know Him and have become partakers of the divine nature by the Holy Spirit....LIVE LIKE IT!!!! Obey the Lord and follow Jesus in your life and attitudes and in how you treat people!!!
Because if you do live this way and you see increasing Christlikeness in your life, they show you to be authentic and that you truly do KNOW HIM!!, but if they aren't there, you may still be BLIND!
Therefore, examine yourself to see if you are of the faith!!! Look at your life and test yourself to see if you truly KNOW God and have the Spirit! Because your diligence in obeying God proves your calling and faith and knowledge of God and by it you will enter the KINGDOM of GOD!!!
God has called you! He has granted you knowledge of Him and of His Son! He has giving you precious promises and supplied you with His Spirit and Divine Nature!
THEREFOR, LIVE LIKE IT! DILIGENTLY pursue Holiness and conformity to Christ! In so doing you will prove your calling and election as sure and will enter the Kingdom of God!!!

Notice how all of this is FROM GOD, even the obedience is GRANTED to us by His divine power, BUT we MUST act! We must be HOLY! We must OBEY God! Work out your salvation with fear and trebling for it is GOD who is at work in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure!!! Works done in faith PROVE/VALIDATE true knowledge of God and give us assurance of our calling! A life of immorality likely PROVE that we do not have authentic faith and should cause us to FEAR and cry out to God for salvation!!! James 2.
