Notes
7:21-24 Not only did the Lord Jesus took note of appearances in the right light, but He also always judged factually right. If He hadn't, He wouldn't have been God because God cannot be wrong. Hence, it's important for all people to note appearances but judgments should always be made on grounds that support more than just appearances. All people have at some point in there life judged unrighteously and missed the perfect standard the Lord Jesus has set for us. For God to be consistent in judgment, he must judge those who have not always judged righteously. If you have acted against the moral law that is written on your heart, such as do not lie, or steal, etc. then you sinned, that is, you made a wrong and selfish judgment that caused grief to others. The punishment is evident as 100 out of 100 people die. But there is hope for those who admit there charge before God and listen to the Good News of Jesus Christ. All people are guilty but Jesus Christ took out of love the sinner's charge on Himself when He died on the cross so that sinners can be free of charge. The sinner who is freed of his charge also receives the gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ whom God rose from the dead after 3 days to live forevermore. In Christ, you may die physically, but your spiritual being will live forever. As for me, I'm guilty as charged, but thanks God, I'm declared free of all charges in Jesus Christ !

progression
The Jews answered him, “Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?” (John 8:48 ESV) The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.’ (John 8:52 ESV) Many of them said, “He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?” (John 10:20 ESV)
If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man’s whole body well? (John 7:23 ESV) Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic called Bethesda, which has five roofed colonnades. [3] In these lay a multitude of invalids—blind, lame, and paralyzed. [5] One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. [6] When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?” [7] The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me.” [8] Jesus said to him, “Get up, take up your bed, and walk.” [9] And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath. (John 5:2-9 ESV)
And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. (Leviticus 12:3 ESV)
And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath. (John 5:16 ESV)
You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. (John 8:15 ESV) And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear, (Isaiah 11:3 ESV) And I charged your judges at that time, ‘Hear the cases between your brothers, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the alien who is with him. [17] You shall not be partial in judgment. You shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not be intimidated by anyone, for the judgment is God’s. And the case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.’ (Deuteronomy 1:16-17 ESV)
After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He would not go about in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him. (John 7:1 ESV)
Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret. (John 18:20 ESV)
They said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?” (John 6:42 ESV)
Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?” (John 7:42 ESV)
