Notes
Paul and Women Some have suggested that Paul hated women because of the creation-order directions on the role of man and women. This passage in the letter of Romans shows that Paul honored and appreciated women. Paul's Greetings Paul's greetings were a deep appreciation for people that were first of all in Christ, then to some that participated in a common cause of labor for the Lord in the good news of Christ, and also for personal connections like being a countryman. Application Paul is an example of what to appreciate first and foremost in other people. The greatest appreciation lies in the spiritual connection to Jesus Christ. Nothing can trump a connection between two individuals that are in Christ. This connection can deepen by working together for the Lord. Lastly, it's okay and good to have other connections beside the spiritual. It is normal to be drawn to people with a common interest such as upbringing, job, family, hobbies etc. Enjoy them too with thanksgiving.
