Notes
A person asks where help comes from in verse 1. Another person answers first from experience, that help comes from the Lord, then he mentions that the foundation of his help rests in a deeper truth of the Lord's care for His people (verse 2-6). Though God's people may go through extreme circumstances in this present time, the Lord will protect and preserve them eternally (verse 7-8). The worst that can happen is death, but even death cannot separate us from His love. Persecution, suffering and death is therefore only a way to bring us in an even closer relationship with God.
