Only the one who knows who he is in God's sight can ever truly change for the good. True change comes not from fear, or pride, but motivated by the love of God, knowing that He has chosen and separated him for Himself.
The peace of Christ is only know by those who are saved and live in communion with Him. It cannot be known by people separated form God Isa 57:20.21 This peace is our guide. If we ask things like how we should do something, where to go, what to say, than the peace of Christ should make the decision.
