Notes
Danger I enjoyed the last day in Texas with friends when I heard about the shooting in West Freeway Church of Christ on December 29, 2019. Keith Thomas Kinnunen pulled his shotgun during a meeting and killed two people before he was shot by Jack Wilson within 6 seconds. It could have been as bloody as the shooting in 2017 where 26 people lost their lives in a church. This could have happened at the place I was at. Thankfully it didn't. It reminds me of how dangerous life can be. I can't take life for granted. Life is fragile. Jesus walking on water The laws of physics do not allow someone to walk on water. How could Jesus walk on water then? - Jesus as eternal God in human form is the creator and sustainer of the laws of physics. He was only bound by those laws to the extent He chose to be bound by them, hence, the ability to walk on water. Fear As it was to expect, the disciples were frightened to see someone walk on water in the middle of a storm. Jesus did not want them to be afraid and identified Himself which led the disciples to receive Him into the boat. Relocation of the boat Just as Jesus is Lord over the laws of physics, He is also Lord over the existence and presence of all elements just as they exist. "Teleportation" is not an impossibility to Him. The boat was about 2-3 miles away from Capernaum when Jesus entered the boat. When He entered, the boat was immediately in Capernaum. Victory The greatest danger and fear in the life of human beings is death. Sadly, it gets all of us sooner than later. Yet, there is someone who is able to bring you through the storm of death! He came to earth to conquer death, sin, and the enemy. He sealed His victory gloriously with His resurrection from the dead. A Plea Have you received Jesus yet? You must receive Him to be alive to God or you'll be held accountable for what you have done and enter eternal death after your body dies. To die in your sins is absolutely unnecessary because Jesus died for sinners. I beg you to receive Jesus now before it is too late and you die in your sins.

Die Jünger waren etwa fünf bis sechs Kilometer weit gerudert,

they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat;
Da packte sie die Angst.
