Notes
Paul is honored once for all by the link to God through the gospel of Christ. He knows and experienced the gospel as the power of God to salvation not only in his own live but in everyone who believed. He also is continually honored through the gospel as he lives by faith in the righteousness of God. *What does from faith to faith mean? It means that the righteousness of God is revealed on the bases of faith so that it is received by faith. Faith here and generally in the new testament means to trust God and His word, especially God's revelation of Jesus Christ and His complete redemptive work. (SCH2000 note) Believe the gospel and you have all reason to walk upright. You are highly honored with the perfection of God by the King of the universe.
