Many disciples rejected Jesus but the 12, except Judas, believed His deity and kept following because Jesus chose them.

6:60-66 The more the revelation about His deity the greater the rejection and offense of the followers who saw only a good man in Jesus. 6:67-71 It appears that the belief of Jesus's deity kept the 12 on continuing to following Him. This passage shows that only God's chosen once will believe. Very humbling for every Christian! Why me? It is for no good in me but alone by God's grace.
