That which was from the beginning,
which we have heard,
which we have seen
with our eyes,

and our hands have touched,

Observation notes 1. What is the logical connection between 1:4 and 1:5? The argument is this: that verses 5-10 are the content of the proclamation of 1:3. In essence, 1:3 is not just a message about Jesus, b ut also a message about what are lifestyle in Jesus should look like. 2. Why suddenly does " the blood of Jesus his son cleanses us" appear somewhat out of blue in 1:7 I am still not sure of this statement in the context of the chapter, although it is a great truth, no doubt.
