Main point summary
The apostles foretold the coming of men who would bring sin and division within the church in the latter days. Therefore, keep yourselves (collectively) in the love of God, that is extending judicious mercy to all. So, to the only God who can keep you be glory forever.
Jude 17-25
But you, a beloved, b ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by c the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that they were saying to you,
“ a In the last time there will be mockers,
b following after their own ungodly lusts.”
These are the ones who cause divisions,
1 a worldly-minded,
2 devoid of the Spirit.
But you, a beloved, b building yourselves up on your most holy a faith,
c praying in the Holy Spirit,
keep yourselves in the love of God,
a waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
And have mercy on some, who are doubting;
save others,
a snatching them out of the fire;
and on some have mercy with fear,
b hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.
a Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
and to b make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with c great joy,
to the a only b God our Savior,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
c be glory, majesty, dominion and authority,
d before all time
and now
and 1 forever. Amen.
