The Ground for Praising God for his Creative Brilliance, his Conquering Power and his Caring Love is rooted in the fact that is a Good, Sovereign Creator . Therefore, we owe him our Continual Praise. You can never say too much about the Love of God toward us. The 2 ultimate reasons why we give God Continual Thanks are because of who he is and what he has done. I. Who He Is (vv. 1-3) David expresses who God is through 2 of his divine attributes . What are these divine attributes? A. God's attribute of Goodness (v. 1) B. God's attribute of Sovereignty (vv. 2-3) II. What He has Done (vv. 4-25) David reflects on what God has done through 3 of his dominant acts . What are these dominant acts in history? A. God's Wonderful Acts of Creation (vv. 4-9) B. God's Powerful Acts of Conquests (vv. 10-22) C. God's Matchless Acts of Compassion (vv. 23-25) III. We owe God our Continual Praise (v. 26) Because of who God is to us and what he has done for us, all Christians have purposeful reasons to always give him Thanks! Cf. 1 Thess. 5:18
