Study Questions 1. Explain the “for” (“because”) in the middle of 1 Peter 3:9 . How does what comes after the “for” help explain what comes before? The "for" is the reason, the ground for what Peter exhorts right before this word. We are to not return evil for evil, reviling for reviling, because (or for) we are called to do so. 2.
