Command to not be ashamed

Refer to: http://www.desiringgod.org/labs/unashamed From the webpage: Principle for Bible Reading Word Searches Word searches are important for deep study of the Bible. To conduct one, search for a particular word throughout the Bible to help clarify meaning and make connections to other Scriptures. A concordance makes these searches easy as they list words and where each is used in the Bible. Beyond this you can usually search Bible apps or online texts for instances of where specific words are found throughout the Bible. The word Christian is used three times in the Bible. Where is it used? What can we learn about the name from the places that it is mentioned? Doing a biblearc search, the three places are Acts 11:16, Acts 26:28, and 1 Peter 4:16. Who are you hide your faith from the most? Why do you hide it from them specifically? Pray about ways to be more unashamed with this person moving forward? I hide my faith with my relatives. I think I do so because I feel ashamed for holding onto a faith which they consider not very much. I have been praying and wanting to be more bold. I find the older I get, the less ashamed I feel, I think it is in part because of older years, and being more comfortable in my skin. But I would like to feel less ashamed because of the seven aspects God gives us honour found in 1 Peter 2:6-9. This is what I would like to base my lack of shame on. I pray for this.

Reasons for no shame
1 Peter 2:6-9
For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
What God sees as honourable, the world sees as dishonourable, shameful
So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

But you are a chosen race,
a royal priesthood,
a holy nation,
a people for his own possession,
that you may proclaim the excellencies of him
who called you out of darkness
into his marvelous light.
