Verse 18 and 24 have me baffled! I'm not sure how to arc them. Verse 18 seems out of place (I obviously don't believe that) in the sense of its word choice. It feels like Paul (actually the Spirit) ought to have said, "but if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not led by the flesh" or something like that. The appearance of "the Law" DEMANDS further thought and reflection. Verse 24 has me baffled because I am not 100% certain as to the ultimate relationship it serves to the larger section. In a way, the absence of traditional transition words makes for a "Must Meditate" passage. Ultimately I am sharing this with the hopes that a mix of my reflection and hopefully other shared arcs will help me "see" the relationships.
