1:1 Notes
We are called to be in God and in Lord, not only as individuals but as a body of believers, the church of Jesus Christ, all together. Therefore, the life to which we are called must be developed not only for my own growth but also for the growth of the church. How does the phrase "in God and in the Lord" is manifest in the life of the church? How do I contribute so that the body is in God?

phrasing
1:2-10 Notes
What others remember about you? The thessalonians were remembered for their work of faith, for their labor of love and for their steadfastness of hope. Their work of faith was not a decision they had taken to trust God or His existence, but it was the trust in God's purpose that impelled them to obey, it was the living faith, which not only saves but also sanctifies and produces fruit, evidence of a creature born again and in the process of becoming more like Christ. In other words, this faith was not passive, it was a gift from God so that tey could be active in His kingdom. When I read the words "labor of love", I can not think that it refers only to a verbal profession of love for God. Instead, this causes to think that it's about a transformed life that loves God clearly, and also loves His children in ways that can not be denied. And despite the difficulties, they were a congregation that persevered, they kept going, motivated by the promises and the unwavering faithfulness of God. All these things lived before God, not in order to be seen by men. Considering this first chapter, they were certainly an exemplary congregation, not only for the churches of that time but also for us today. A church that could experience the joy in the midst of afflictions. A church whose trust in the Lord was indisputable. And, although it was not a perfect church, a church that embraced God's purpose of bringing them to the stature of the perfect man. Let's love God above all things. Let`s love His church. There are many other things that could be said from this passage, but this is what most caught my attention.
