Christ-followers: Go and serve those in need!

If you claim to follow God, then do not be inconsistent in your words and beliefs. If you truly have follow God, then you will show that by helping everyone in need, even if they are not close to you.
If anyone thinks he is religious
If any brother thinks he is a follower of God
q and does not bridle his tongue
and yet does not control what they say
but deceives his heart,
and his words lead his heart astray (actions inconsistent with beliefs)
this person’s r religion is worthless.
Then this person's faith is meaningless
Religion that is pure
On the other hand, truly and wholly following God
and [religion that is] undefiled before God, the Father, is this:
And following God in a way that pleases the Father is evidenced as this:
s to visit t orphans
that is to care for orphans in need
and [to visit] widows in their affliction,
and to care for widows in need
and u to keep oneself v unstained from the world.
and to keep yourself holy from the grips of this sinful world.
If I claim to follow Christ in faith, then my actions should line up with my beliefs My beliefs should line up with Christ's commands Christ commands me to serve those in need (v.27) I must strive to keep myself unstained from the world - perhaps for the purpose of being unhindered to serve
