Thanksgiving Encouragement
As we gather and feast, on Thanksgiving this year, we traditionally speak of being thankful for all the bounty we have been given. That is certainly worth celebrating, and yet everything is not right with our world as has been made painfully clear this year. Yet, despite difficult times, we can delight in feasting that is a shadow of the greatest feast that will come when Christ returns and swallows up death and removes all sorrow from the world. We are preparing for that day by celebrating together and remembering the promises that God has given - "for the LORD has spoken" and he will come!
