And you shall consume all the peoples that the LORD your God is giving to you,
you shall not pity your eye (on) them
and you shall not serve their gods,

(For) if you say in your heart,
“Many (more) (are) these nations than I,
how will I be able to dispossess them?”
ideaexplanation
(Then) you shall not be afraid (of) them,
(for) you shall surely remember that which the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt,
the great trials which your eyes saw and the signs and the wonders and the mighty hand and the outstretched arm (by) which the LORD your God brought you out.
(So) thus the LORD your God will do to all the peoples that you are fearing from before them.
And moreover the LORD your God will send the hornet among them until the ones who are left behind and the ones who hide (themselves) are destroyed from before you.
You shall not tremble in their presence,
for the LORD your God (is) in your midst, a great and feared God.
(And) the LORD your God will clear away these nations from your presence little (by) little.
You shall not be able to make an end of them quickly,
lest the animals of the field become (too) numerous to you.
actionpurpose
(And) the LORD your God will give them before you
and (he) will throw them (to) great confusion
until they have been destroyed.

and you will destroy their name from under the heavens,
no man will (be able to) stand in your presence
until you (have) destroyed them.

you shall not covet silver or gold upon them
and you shall (not) take (them) for yourself
