Jesus continues his teaching clarifiying God's view of marriage and adultery. Here he corrects this abuse of the OT permission for marriage given porneia/severe indecency whereby many divorced for selfish reasons and were thus promoting adultery versus God's plan for marriage (see Mt. 19). Not much wiggle room here! Bring it clearly to folks but win them to the superior kingdom ways versus merely stating why not to divorce. Make explicit what the Savior assumed as implicity given his audience.
