BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE In our Christian life, we may have or may now are becoming weary, tired and even reach a point of giving up---or maybe not! We have lots of struggles, challenges and more. Well we have to remember that it's normal. This life is not just a walk, it's a race---a lifetime marathon and a tough one! The race refers to the faith-filled life while we're still here on earth. Can you share some experiences in the past or at present that made you realize that the race God has set before us needs endurance? Hebrews 12:1-2 gives us some important things to remember as we run the race: 1. BE ENCOURAGED v.1 ( By faith God's people in the past also endured) They also faced tough challenges It was BY FAITH (which God is the author) that they obeyed despite the challenges They received what had been promised 2. REMOVE WHATEVER HINDERS YOU v.1 Sin easily entangles us (let's run to the fountain of living water. Jer.2:13) Let's not pet our encumbrances Can anyone elaborate what encumbrance is and then give some examples? 3. LOOK TO JESUS v. 2 This is our only means to run and finish the race! Jesus pioneers in us the faith to begin the race, and will give us the faith to finish it. (This is a solid promise!). Jesus' finished work (His life, death and resurrection) assures us that we can victoriously finish our race. It's all His enablement. Therefore, let's run! Let's run with all that God has provided! Let's aim for the prize!: the joy of being in the presence of our Father in heaven (as Jesus did).
