Paul wastes no time getting to the point. He is astonished because the Galatians are deserting Christ and thus turning to another gospel. There is, of course, not another gospel and anyone who preaches a false gospel should be accursed. Summary: Paul's astonishment because they have abandoned the true gospel for another false one.

Gal 1:6 I am astonished
[because] you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ
and are turning to a different gospel—

but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you,

let him be accursed.

let him be accursed.
