We rejoice in what is and is to come, because, through faith, the Holy Spirit has revealed the depth of God's peace and love towards us in Christ. More specifically, our faith is rooted in the understanding that we have been purchased by the death of His Son, the punishment for our sin has been laid upon Christ, and reconciliation, righteousness and fellowship have been afforded to us because of Christ's willing sacrifice.

No distinction - love poured into our hearts is the same as the Holy Spirit given to us. God's love manifests itself in our possession of His Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit testifies to us that God loves us.

We rejoice because we have been justified by faith - both in the positive news (peace with God and access into His family) and in the difficult news (our suffering). In everything, we rejoice, because God has saved us.
