Church, put on Christian love, put on Christ. Christian love is defined by Christ's kingship in our lives and our response of thankfulness to God through Christ who dwells in us. Thus, Christian love is rooted in the sovereignty of God who saves us from sin, and then personifies itself in the qualities of Christ being displayed through us, namely, having compassion on sinners, as we are sinners, showing them kindness, as we have been given grace, being humble, as we deserve nothing, displaying meekness, as we are content, and exercising patience, as we were once rebels. More specifically, we display Christian love (and thus Christ) by bearing the burdens of those He loves and by forgiving those He came to save.

and beloved,

And o be thankful .

Let p the word of Christ dwell in you richly,
IN OTHER WORDS, dwell on the Word of God as a body
teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,
BY TEACHING and ADMONISHING other Christians in the body

AND BY SINGING the Bible
and hymns
AND songs about the Bible
and spiritual songs,
AND songs about your salvation (promulgated by the Holy Spirit)
r with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
ALL WHILE BEING thankful (not for yourself) to/setting your gaze on God
And s whatever you do,
IN OTHER WORDS, in your doing
in word or deed,
THAT IS, when you speak and act
do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
DO IT IN Christ

IN OTHER WORDS, do things in Christ BY GIVING thanks to God
through him.
BY Christ dwelling in you
Our personal thanks is NOT enough - it MUST be through Christ that we give thanks to God, and this is how we do everything in Christ
