Since we are all children of light and not of darkness then we must be alert and sober for God did not destine us for wrath but to obtained salvation through Christ and so God commands us to encourage one another.

Point 1. 4a-4b that we should not be astonish because we in the light. Point 2. As children of light we should be alert &sober. 6b Point 3. The means to be sober. 8a to 8c put on the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of faith, Love helmet our hope for salvation. Point 4 God save us from wrath, that God send Christ to die so that whether we are alive or asleep we will be together with him. And therefore let us promote the growth and strength of our fellow believers, for it will rise our LOVE we have for one another.
